Registered Nurse – Children and Young People’s Nursing

Giving care, advice and support to sick, injured or disabled people.

Children and Young People’s Nurses specialise in providing tailored healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents. They work closely with families and professionals to ensure that care is age-appropriate, holistic, and emotionally supportive. These nurses safeguard young patients, manage complex illnesses, and educate families, empowering them in healthcare decision-making. Accountable for their own practice and those they delegate to, they must be adaptable, skilled in therapeutic communication, and able to work collaboratively or independently in various healthcare settings.
