Registered Nurse – Learning Disability Nursing
Giving care, advice and support to sick, injured or disabled people.
Learning Disability Nurses specialise in empowering individuals with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives. They work in social care, education, and healthcare settings to promote inclusion, reduce health inequalities, and provide tailored support. Nurses in this field help individuals manage their healthcare needs while encouraging autonomy and participation in daily activities. They must be able to work independently or collaboratively with professionals from various disciplines, always ensuring compassionate, person-centred care while remaining accountable for their actions and delegations.
